Full Day to Paracas and Huacachina Tour!

If you chose the Standard Experience or you’re located outside of our premium pick up districts (San Isidro, Miraflores, Barranco), please meet the tour guide between 4:45 – 5:00AM at McDonalds in Kennedy Park.

Once in Paracas, you’ll have time to grab a quick snack/breakfast before you enjoy a speed boat ride out to the Ballestas Islands. The Ballestas Islands are home to playful sea lions and diverse bird species. Learn about the history of Paracas, our famous bird poop and the “Mystery Chandelier”.

OPTIONAL ATV TOUR: While your group is touring the islands, you can have a different experience! For an extra $16.00 USD (per person), you can take a 2-hour ATV journey through the National Reserve – Entrance Included. Enjoy a fun and unique ride to breathtaking views of the reserve, where the ocean meets the desert.

Please keep in mind that this is a National Reserve and all operators are required to following strict guidelines and paths to protect it. It is not possible to go “off-roading” due to the fossils throughout the reserve. While riding the ATV, you’ll stop at Playa Yumaque, Santa Maria or Isthmus and Red Beach. If you choose ATV, it will replace the boat tour. You will not do both tours.

But that’s just the beginning! On our way to Huacachina we’ll stop at a traditional Peruvian Pisco vineyard, where you’ll have the opportunity to participate in a tasting experience, as you sample various pisco and wines. While at the vineyard, the group will enjoy an authentic Peruvian meal which is included in our Premium Experience.

After our meal, you better hold on tight as we venture into the one-and-only Huacachina, an oasis hidden within huge sand dunes. Feel the adrenaline as we speed through the slopes in our dune buggies. Once on-top of the dune, grab a sandboard and race down the dunes, an experience you’ll never forget! Please note: The sandboard being used is an artisanal sandboard and is used for going down on your stomach. If you want to rent a professional sandboard, you can for an additional $12.00 USD.

When the sun begins to set, we’ll find the perfect spot on the dunes to relax and view the sunset. Take a moment to enjoy and reflect on this incredible day. After the sunset, you’ll have time to grab some dinner and continue with your tour guide back to Lima. Once in Lima, we’ll drop you back off at our meeting point. If you chose the Premium Experience and you’re located in our drop off districts (San Isidro, Miraflores, Barranco) then you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation.

•  Pick Up Times – It’s mandatory to be ready and waiting in the main door of your accommodation 10 minutes before your scheduled pick up time. If you are not there, the tour guide will make a video and continue with the plan. No exceptions!!

•  All travelers will be added into a WhatsApp group between 19:00-20:00hrs the evening before the tour.

• Please be advised that The Paracas Port may be closed due to weather conditions. The decision is made by the Navy and applies for all tour operators and travel agencies. If the Port is closed, don’t worry, we have a back up plan! We’ll visit to the Paracas National Reserve.

• Please keep in mind that the ATV ride is through the National Reserve and all operators are required to follow strict guidelines and paths to protect it. It is not possible to go “off-roading” due to the fossils throughout the reserve. While riding the ATV, you’ll stop at Playa Yumaque, Santa Maria or Isthmus and Red Beach.

• The Dune Buggy and Sandboarding Tour is considered an adrenaline/extreme experience. You may feel like your riding on a rollercoaster while racing through the dunes. Please keep this in mind and for those who prefer a calm ride, you can book a private dune buggy at an additional cost, please let us know in advance.

• The sandboard being used is an artisanal sandboard and is used for going down on your stomach. If you want to rent a professional sandboard, you can for an additional $12.00 USD.

• We do not have control over Mother-Nature, most days in Huacachina are beautiful and sunny. However, it is possible to have cloudy days without sunset.

• Participants will have time to buy snacks or small breakfast in Paracas.

• Participants can pre-order take out dinner once they arrive in Huacachina and can pick it up before heading back to Lima.

• Participants need to climb a small dune to reach the buggys.

• The success of this experience relies on teamwork, be on time for the activities through out the day.

• Our Ballestas Islands and Dune Buggy Tour both last approximately 2 hours. However, during Peruvian vacations and holidays, it may be reduced to 1 hour due to high demand. Please note, this is not just with us, but with all tour operators around the country.
  
  
• We work with third-party operators, any cancellations or changes must be made 48 hours in advance and a 20% administration fee will apply. Cancellations or no-shows after this time will result in a 100% cancellation fee.
