Evening Before the Tour

Between 7:00–8:00 p.m. Perú time: we add all participants to a WhatsApp group and share exact pick up times. On the tour day, your guide will send a live location update before arriving at your accommodation.

DAY 1

04:20 AM – Accommodation pick up
We pick you up directly from your accommodation in any hotel, hostel, Airbnb or friend house inside Lima touristic area:
4:10 am: Lima Downtown
4:20 am: San Isidro
4:30 am: Miraflores
4:45 am: Barranco
4:55 am: at Starbucks Barranco – Av. Pedro de Osma 102, Barranco if you are outside the pick-up area.

05:00 AM – Departure Lima to Paracas
After pick up, you can optionally pre-order breakfast, relax or nap during the 3.5-hour ride to Paracas.

08:30 AM – Arrival to Paracas
Enjoy an early breakfast, drink a coffee or use the restrooms.

09:00 AM – 2 Hour Ballestas Islands Boat Tour (Included)
Take a comfortable boat ride to the Ballestas Islands, home to playful sea lions and a variety of bird species. On this tour, you can also see the “Mystery Candelabra”.

11:10 AM – Trip to La Caravedo Vineyard

12:30 AM – Lunch and Tour at La Caravedo Vineyard (Included)
Visit an exclusive vineyard—the oldest in the Americas—where one of the most famous Peruvian piscos, Pisco Portón, is produced.
Enjoy a delicious lunch and a guided pisco tour, both included in your package.

14:30 PM – Trip to Huacachina

15:10 PM – Visit Huacachina, The Oasis of America
A hidden oasis surrounded by giant sand dunes. Enjoy free time to explore, grab a drink, or snap some great photos.
Our meeting point is the best—right in front of the oasis.
During this time, you can pre-order dinner for takeout. Pick up your order following the buggy tour.

16:00 PM – 2 Hour Dune Buggy and Sandboarding Tour (Included)
Feel the adrenaline as we race down the hills in our dune buggies for an extended 2 hour tour.
Once on top of the dune you can take amazing pictures or grab an artisanal sandboard to slide down the dunes on your stomach.
An unforgettable experience!

18:00 PM – Sunset Picnic (Included)
The best part of the day comes when the sun starts to set. We’ll take you to our secret spot on the dunes to relax and enjoy a special picnic during the most beautiful desert sunset in Perú.
We are the only company offering this exclusive experience.

20:00 PM – Night in Huacachina – Not Included

DAY 2

6:40 A.M – Meeting at Wild Rover Huacachina
Everyone must come to this meeting point. We will call you by your name to indicate which vehicle to board.
Operator: Nazca Shuttle

The Nasca experience is a service without an accompanying guide (please note that there may be long waiting times).

Important: Transportation on Day 2 to Nazca is different from the transportation used on Day 1. For this part of the trip, the type of vehicle is assigned according to the number of passengers in the group and is not a luxury bus.

9:30 A.M – Breakfast Stop – Not Included
Brief stop to buy snacks and/or motion sickness pills (10–15 minutes)

10:00 A.M – Nazca Lines Tower (Viewing Point)
From this tower, you’ll be able to spot some of the most iconic figures:
the Tree, the Hands, and the Lizard.

11:00 AM – Arrival to Nazca Airport
At María Reiche Neuman Airport, head to the AeroFenix office and identify yourself as a Lima Experience client.

Steps to follow:

• Provide your passport

• Weigh-in: Maximum 105 kg per person (If you exceed 100 kg, you’ll need to purchase an extra seat)

• Pay at the airport tax booths

• Confirm that the payment was successful

• Sit down in the waiting area until your name is called

• Provide your passport again to board the aircraft

• Enjoy the flight over the Nazca Lines (30 minutes)

Important:

• Please make sure to bring cash in soles, as the Airport tax is not included (77 soles)
• The Nazca flight requires some waiting time at the airport, it could range from 10 minutes to 1.5 hours, so please keep that in mind.
• (Children over 2 years old pay for seat and taxes.)

13:30 PM – Trip from Airport to Mom’s Cafe (Nazca)
After the flight, go to the AeroFenix office and request your transfer to Mom’s Cafe.
Then you have time to relax or get lunch (snacks or lunch not included).

14:30 PM – Trip from Nazca to Huacachina
Leave from Mom’s Cafe in Nazca to Huacachina Oasis. (3.5 hours)
Once in Huacachina grab some dinner (optional) and wait for your guide.

18:30 PM – Departure Huacachina – Lima
Meet your guide at Wild Olive Restaurant and continue to Lima.

23:00 PM – Lima Drop Offs
Once in Lima, we will drop you off at the same location where we picked you up:
Barranco, Miraflores, San Isidro and Lima Downtown.

🛡️ SAFETY 🛡️

Before the tour begins, all travelers are required to attend a mandatory safety briefing and will receive a safety information brochure. For safety and operational purposes, every participant must complete and sign a safety and responsibility form prior to starting the tour.

🕒 PICK UP TIMES

All travelers will be added into a WhatsApp group between 19:00–20:00 hrs the evening before the tour.
It’s mandatory to be ready and waiting at the main door of your accommodation 10 minutes before your scheduled pick-up time.
If you are not there, the tour guide will make a video and continue with the plan.
No exceptions!!

📋 PASSPORT

• All passengers must carry their physical passport throughout the trip. It is required for highway inspections, tax exemption, and boarding the bus. In case of an accident requiring medical attention, they will only be treated if they present their physical passport. Otherwise, they will NOT be attended to.

VEHICLE SUBSTITUTION CLAUSE

The company reserves the right to replace the originally assigned vehicle with another of equal or higher category when necessary due to operational, technical, maintenance, safety, or availability reasons, without this being considered a substantial modification of the contracted service.

🍽️ MEALS

Participants will have time to buy snacks or a small breakfast in Paracas. Lunch is included at La Caravedo Vineyard and consists of one main course and one glass of passion fruit juice (no additional items included). Participants can pre-order takeout dinner upon arrival in Huacachina and pick it up before heading back to Lima.

👶 CHILDREN

• Children under 3 years old do not pay for the tour; however, parents must cover any additional expenses (entrance fees, snacks, or extra activities).
• For the buggy tour, children under 3 years old must travel in a private service, pay for a seat, and use a safety carrier.
• Children over 3 years old will have a seat available; however, parents should be aware that the buggy operates at high speed due to the nature of the activity.
• Parents must sign a consent form for minors to participate in the buggy tour.

PREGNANCY
Pregnant travelers may participate in the tour at their own responsibility. For comfort and safety reasons, reservations are only accepted for private tour services and up to 4 months of pregnancy. We recommend contacting us before booking and consulting your doctor before traveling.

📍 SEATS
Passengers weighing more than 100 kg must pay USD 10 for an additional seat. This applies to the Huacachina buggies and the boat tour to the Ballestas Islands. In the case of the bus, an additional seat will be assigned at a cost of USD 25.

The extra seat is mandatory when a passenger occupies more than one space, as this helps ensure the comfort and safety of the passenger and the rest of the group during the tour.

🌊 BALLESTAS ISLANDS

• Please be advised that the Paracas Port may be closed due to weather conditions. The decision is made by the Navy and applies to all tour operators and travel agencies.

• If the port is closed, don’t worry – we have a backup plan! You’ll visit either Isla Blanca or the Paracas National Reserve.

• ✅ Bring a jacket – it’s windy and you may get splashed.

• 🚫 Children under 1 year old are not allowed on the Ballestas Islands boat trip.

🍇 LA CARAVEDO VINEYARD

• Everyone will stop at the vineyard for lunch, which is included.

• Vegan and vegetarian options available.

• The Pisco tasting is optional.

🏜️ DUNE BUGGY AND SANDBOARDING TOUR

• Participants must climb a small dune to reach the buggies.

• This is an adrenaline/extreme experience, similar to a rollercoaster ride through the dunes.
  ⚠️ If you prefer a calmer ride, you can book a private dune buggy at an additional cost – please notify us in advance.

• 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Kids (no under 1 year) and elderly passengers should go in a private buggy for safer speed control.

Sandboarding:

• Sandboarding is done with a handmade sandboard and is used for going down on your stomach.

  • If you want to do stand-up sandboarding, you must do so on your own with another operator and cannot rejoin our group. In that case, you will forfeit the buggy, sandboarding, and picnic, without a refund.

☀️ We do not control the weather. Most days are sunny in Huacachina, but cloudy days may occur. We promise to stay on the dunes until sunset time ends.

🧺 PICNIC

• This is a special experience offered only by Lima Experience.

• Held in the middle of the desert.

• Applies to those who do the buggy tour first (buggy tour is a shared service).

• For a private option, please let us know in advance.

• ✅ Bring your passport – it is mandatory to board the flight.

• 🧴 Take a motion sickness pill and eat a light breakfast.

• ⚖️ If your weight exceeds 100 kg, you must purchase an extra seat.

• Seats are assigned based on passenger weight.

• The flight has a scheduled time, which may vary due to weather.

Our Pick Ups and Drop Offs

To ensure a better experience, we pick you up directly from your accommodation, if we have too many pick up points, we add extra transfers for better logistics. We come to the door of your accommodation whether you stay in a friend’s house, apartment, air bnb, hostel or hotel. Just make sure you are located inside Lima downtown, San Isidro, Miraflores or Barranco. 

Our Bus

We offer a brand new bus that follows the legal guidelines for tourism and we are the only travel agency registered as a ”transportation company” meaning our name appears directly in the Ministry of Transport and Communications. Look us up with our RUC: 20611188995. Other agencies rent buses from a third party operator, ask in advance.

Safety

Our bus follows the guidelines of security every 6 months and stops twice a month for oil maintenance. This shows the strict compromise that we follow with our clients.

Insurance

No travel agency will mention this, in Peru all buses must have SOAT in order to operate. They all have SOAT, but we go one step higher, we have contracted ”all risk SOAT”, which means we are contracting a much better insurance to take care of our clients. We have also contracted: ”civil liability insurance” for extra care. Those claiming about safety will not offer such detailed insurances since they are not in control of this, again, third party operators. 

Seats

Our bus was originally equípped with 40 seats, nowadays it has 35 seats and we take groups of 33 people on average, making sure the experience is smooth and everyone is travelling comfortably. 

USB Ports

While traveling on a day tour, you need to have your phone charged in order to capture moments and experiences, we have modern USB ports even for Iphones.

Satellite GPS

Our bus is monitored with live location 24/7. All honesty, all buses follow this rule in Peru, don’t let other companies lie, no buses can run without GPS monitoring. 

Seatbelts

You can make sure that we care about safety, all our seatbelts are in great condition, we follow inspections twice a month. 

Air Conditioning

Visiting Ica, one of the most heated cities in Peru, must be a good experience. This is the main reason why we care about our air conditioning system. 

Our Drivers

We are proud to mention we are the only travel agency that is also registered as a Transportation Company. We have our drivers registered and working directly with us and not a third party company. We make sure our drivers work 15 days a month resting every 2 days and spending a good time with their families but more importantly, working rested and in a good spirit. Most companies make their drivers work 5-6 days a week, since they don’t hire the drivers directly, they are not sure if that driver has rested or not. Ask in advance. 

Headrest

We care about quality service and clean spaces, we use white headrests on our buses to ensure a good environment to travel. 

Bathroom

Check our reviews, we have the most clean bathrooms. We are not afraid of sharing pictures of our bus bathroom. 

Speed Control

We travel on 90KM/HR on highways and on open areas 98KM/HR would be the fastest. Why are we sharing numbers? Simple, if 2 buses depart at the same time and one promises to arrive earlier passing by the same highway the answer is 1. Someone is overpassing the speed limit.

💲 Pricing

The prices published on our website and other sales channels do not include the General Sales Tax (IGV).
However, foreign tourists who provide their nationality and present their passport will be exempt from this tax, in accordance with current legislation.

The restaurants we recommend for breakfast and dinner are selected for their good practices and online reviews. We organize these options to support group logistics and timing, but they are not mandatory. You are free to enjoy your meals wherever and however you prefer.

📅 Reservations and Cancellations

Reservations may be canceled up to 24 hours before the scheduled date of the activity to receive a full refund.
Cancellations made after this deadline will not be eligible for a refund. No exceptions.

📈 Availability and Capacity

During certain times of the year, the number of visitors may increase, potentially affecting the overall experience.
We recommend that customers book in advance to ensure availability.

Some holidays may involve the temporary closure of specific tourist sites or restricted access to certain areas.
Lima Experience is not responsible for itinerary changes caused by such events.

These holidays often involve changes in tour schedules and durations:
Easter, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Labor Day, July 28, Halloween, Christmas and New Year.

💪 Participant’s Physical Condition

It is each individual’s responsibility to determine whether they are in adequate physical and health condition to participate in the booked activity.
Lima Experience is not liable for any health issues or pre-existing medical conditions that may affect participation in tours or activities.

🛡️ Insurance

There is no travel insurance included in the price of a Travel Pass.
Lima Experience recommends that you obtain travel insurance to cover any sickness, injury, or loss that may occur while you are traveling with us.

🤝 Third Party Operations

We inform our tourist clients that the activities offered in the Ballestas Islands, buggy rides in Huacachina, and flights over the Nazca Lines are operated by third parties other than Lima Experience.
Therefore, we assume no responsibility for accidents, inconveniences, or any eventuality that may arise during these activities.

⚠️ Modifications or Cancellations Due to Force Majeure

In the event of circumstances beyond our control, such as adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, social unrest, or other unforeseen events,
Lima Experience reserves the right to modify or cancel scheduled tours or activities.
In such cases, customers will be informed as early as possible and offered alternatives or refunds as appropriate.
